My maternal Grandmother B, who I wrote about in this post, would have turned 105 on Sunday. She lived one day shy of 100 years and is still a daily inspiration. Her name was B, she loved bees and she definitely buzzed around with infectious and authentic energy.

This week I have been loving neutral colors. I have been wearing my leopard print flats on repeat and we all know they are a neutral. Olive & June, where I get my nails done each week, has started a monthly color crush. I decided to give this month’s color a try. It is not a color I would have chosen from seeing it in the bottle, but it is a great neutral that is perfect for Spring.

I absolutely love the blooming Jacaranda trees right now. When I moved to Los Angeles eleven years ago, a friend pointed them out to me. She said they only bloom for a short time. The city is awash in this beautiful lavender and periwinkle and then they are plain trees again. I’ve been enjoying them so much on my walks, they inspired my manicure this week.
