Public Access starts today for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I am still jumping for joy over some of my scores last week (which are all here).  These jeans are so comfortable and paired with these velvet sneakers I’m reading for lots of walking and jumping.  How could I resist this stars and stripes top in my favorite navy and white?

I have visited the sale a few more times.  My husband scored this jacket.  I also went back for a few beauty buys like this great hair duo, lip gloss set in both bright and nude, and  lipstick pencil set.

I am still deciding between this Foreo  toothbrush and this mini version.  I have both the full size and the mini version of this facial cleansing brush also by Foreo and I love them.  They are a good value in the sale.

Bells and Bees

My Grandmother B (who I wrote about here) would have gone crazy for these bee shoes (and they are so affordable that even someone who lived through the depression would not balk).  I styled them with this bell sleeve top (also affordable) and these jeans with a fun slit detail.  All of this is from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  You can see a preview of the eight outfits I styled here.

The photos are by my seven year old.  He was also excited about the sale and scored these shoes, this robe and this dopp kit.  The Tumi dopp kit seemed extravagant for a seven year old, but he is obsessed with it and Tumi lasts forever (they have a number of luggage pieces in the sale in a great grey).  He takes such good care of his things that I expect this will go to college with him.

Mani Monday – Purple Rainbow Edition

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started today.  I styled the eight looks below.

I had a hard time choosing jeans this year, so I picked up several.  There are so many fun washes and details.

It is a great time to stock up on basics as well.  Everything is 30- 50% off with early access to cardholders through July 20.  General access runs from July 21 – August 6th.  Prices go up on August 7th.

At the Beach in Italy

I love this Marel George painting of an Italian beach scene on this t-shirt.  Just like with last week’s Andiamo tee,  I am living vicariously through my clothes.  While I thoroughly enjoyed a recent getaway to the American Riviera (Santa Barbara), but I still dream about the long days in Europe.

I styled the tee with my go-to seersucker blazer, jeans, sunglasses, Legend of Lido clutch and Stuart Weitzman heels.

Mani Monday – Flamingo Edition

After seeing this t-shirt I had flamingos on my mind.  Coral is one of my favorite nail colors for summer.  I was able to find the perfect coral, “On the List” in my new favorite Essie Gel Couture.  My last mani lasted over a week.  It is indestructible.

This past weekend we had a quick getaway to Santa Barbara which included swimming and lounging at the Coral Casino.  It was the perfect mid-summer getaway and my coral, flamingo manicure fit right in.

Let’s Go, Weekend!

Ready for the weekend, again?  I am!  I have serious summer wanderlust.  This summer will include a few domestic trips.  I will have to rely on my wardrobe and imagination for international pursuits.

Hiking up to the Getty

It’s back to reality from the long weekend which included museum hopping, riding a fire truck in a 4th of July parade, fireworks, a kid’s race and lots of fun.

For this visit to the Getty Museum I put together this casual outfit and everything in it is on sale!  I just picked up this placed stripe tee for a steal and styled it with my favorite vintage crop jeans (they are such a good deal right now that I got a second pair), my pink signet bag and New Balance sneakers.  I was in a very competitive Fitbit competition, so we walked up to the museum instead of taking the tram.  I love my Fitbit Flex 2 in navy.  Competing definitely makes me look for more walking opportunities.

Mani Monday – Fourth of July Edition

Happy Fourth of July!  I am enjoying the long weekend with museum visits, family movies and walks.  Tomorrow we will celebrate with a race in the morning, parade, barbecue and, of course, fireworks.  I hope you enjoy the holiday.
