Mani Friday – Striped Edition

This week’s manicure is inspired by the J. Crew for NET-A-PORTER capsule collection.  I am loving all the blue and white stripes.  I featured three beautiful pieces on Monday in All of the Stripes and the cutest blue and white t-shirt adorned with a sequined dog in Doggie Stripes at Georgie.  The collection is a available in just a few J. Crew stores and on NET-A-PORTER.  Check it out as quantities are limited.

The color is “Cobalt” by RGB Cosmetics.  The manicure and nail art are by Olive & June.

Mani Friday – I ♥ NY Edition

On Monday I wrote about my experience at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001 in Sliding Doors.  New York is definitely one of my favorite cities in the world and it holds a special place in my heart.  A friend gave me a I ♥ NY tee shirt during my visit back after I had moved to California.  The anniversary of this horrific and tragic day makes me want to hug all those close to me and give New York a big hug.

Mani Friday – Wink Edition

I was surprised at how much I loved this bright pink when I went for it two weeks ago for Mani Friday – Pink Daisy Edition.  It felt surprisingly neutral, especially with all the J. Crew pink I have been wearing.  This week I decided it was the perfect end of summer color with a blue eyed wink.

The color is “Kiss me, I’m Brazilian” by OPI.  The nail art and manicure are by Olive & June.

Mani Friday – Bikini Edition

I am savoring the last weeks of summer with beach getaways and a bikini mani.  The summer flew by and I am glad we spent a lot of in both the ocean and pools.  We still plan to get some more beach time in before school starts.  I am beach ready with my mani, for sure.

Mani Friday – Pink Daisy Edition

I am loving all the pink in the new J. Crew collection and their challenge to wear pink for five days.  I decided to be bold and use a color on my hands that I would normally only wear on my toes.  I am loving this bright pink and the adorable daisy nail art.

Mani Friday – Golden Sunshine Edition

This week Olive & June announced the August OJColorCrush, “Sun Bleached” by CND Vinylux.  It is one of my favorite colors that I featured in Mani Friday – Bee Edition and my first Mani Friday post, Mani Friday – Pineapple Edition.

 

I decided to try my first half moon mani after doing triangle half moons a couple of weeks ago in Mani Friday – Triangle Half Moon Edition.  I love the gold with the yellow.  It feels like golden sunshine on my hands.  CND Vinylux also wears really well.

The main color is “Sun Bleached” by CND Vinylux and the half moons are “Rose Gold” by RGB Cosmetics.  The manicure and nail art are by Olive & June.

Mani Friday – Triangle Half Moon Edition

This week I was inspired by all the blues in my Shades of Blue post.  I have been wanting to try half moons for some time and decided to make them triangles in my favorite navy blue.

Mani Friday – Plain White Edition

I love white in summer – white jeans, a white dress, a crisp white shirt.  Until this week, I had never worn white nail polish.  I had decided I wanted it on my toes this week.  I also rarely match my manicure and pedicure.  I had a conversation with a friend who always matches.  She attributed it to her Virgo nature.  It stuck with me and I had to overcome my Gemini nature of not always being able to decide and choose just one color.  I liked it so much, that I decided to skip the art this week.  The plain white is the art.  I also had plain white on the brain as I was headed to a Summer concert to see The Plain White Ts.  They were amazing!

The color is “Amazing Grace” by Deborah Lippmann.  The manicure is by Olive & June.
