I love to say all my gifts are wrapped, but I am not quite there yet. At least this week’s mani is all tied up with a gold bow.

This adorable navy pom-pom from J. Crew has changed my life and lowered my stress level. I used to constantly fumble and search for my keys and even managed to lock myself out of the house thinking they were in my bag. Now I just reach in and *pouf* I grasp them easily with this adorable pom-pom.
As a thank you to my readers and followers I am giving away one navy pom-pom and a plaid zip wallet both from J. Crew. All you need to do is follow me on Instagram(jaeustice), tag a friend in the comments and like the photo (marked Giveaway) I will announce the winner on Instagram on Monday, December 19th.
You can also use the pom-pom as a cute bag accessory.

Good Luck!

I have had London on my mind since I got this t-shirt. We may even skip a tropical Spring Break this year and head to London. My first trip abroad was to London in High School. The dollar and the pound were close to even, the weather was warm for February and it was a great trip. My six year old is very excited about the prospect, so we will see…
In the meantime, the J. Crew destination art t-shirts are fun to style and the London version is no exception. I have previously styled the New York version in New York State of Mind and New York on the Vineyard, as well as the Paris version in I’ll take Paris and the Vineyard and Cheers to the long weekend!.
I made this one festive with my plaid shoes from last year and a plaid pouch from this year.

Dear Santa,
I want all of the plaid and all of the leopard print, please. Is that too much to ask? They look so great together.

It is no secret that I am mad for plaid. My first nail art was a plaid nail like this one with red nails a year ago. I have been hooked on nail art every since. My love of plaid is shown in It’s time for Plaid! , Plaid and Leopard, Pink and Plaid, Black Watch, Stripes, Sequins and Lace, Matchy Matchy , Beam Me Up , and Plaid Tidings. In case you clicked on any of the items (like the amazing plaid shoes) and received a a sold out notification, several items come back in stock a few times. It is worth a second try.

Now that the holiday season is in full swing, I broke out more plaid. Last night it was finally time for my six year old to open the first box on his Hot Wheels Advent Calendar. He is all about cars and when we saw this 1948 Ford Super Deluxe 8 at the amazing Cardiff Classics, we knew it was a perfect match with my ruffled plaid top.
I styled the top with my favorite plaid flats that I featured in It’s time for Plaid! (along with a scalloped heel version) my black toothpick jeans, velvet clutch and Ryan sunglasses all by J. Crew.

J. Crew Velvet Clutch also available in satin
J. Crew Ryan Sunglasses in Blush
J. Crew Shoes (not many left, but I do keep seeing them pop back, so don’t give up)

After seeing “Arrival” for a movie date with my husband recently, I had aliens on the brain. A friend had spotted this wall for me the week before and it went perfectly with my mindset after the movie. If you have not seen “Arrival”, I highly recommend it. It was a casual Sunday date and the perfect opportunity to add a touch of plaid with my new favorite flats. I kept the rest of the look simple with my tried and true Western chambray shirt and black toothpick jeans both from J. Crew, as well as my J. Crew Ryan sunglasses. The Western chambray shirt has proven to be one of my best buys. I have worn it year round and featured it previously in Falling into Neutral and Demin on Denim.

I’ll take all the plaid, all of it. I just can’t get enough. I just need a matching collar for Cupcake (my puggle) and we would be all set. J. Crew‘s holiday offerings have not disappointed this year. I hear there is even more next week! I can’t wait. In the meantime, I have had both the sadie flat and scalloped heel on repeat. Have I mentioned that the pom-pom on the flats is navy!?!

The holiday party season is upon us. And, while I don’t usually go for lace — I’m more of a leopard, stripes and plaid kind of gal – I recently tried on these lace pants and they are so comfortable (maybe even more than the pajama party pants I featured last week in Pajama Party) that well, I may be a convert … to lace ! I love the feminine touch they give to my Black Watch plaid blazer and striped St. James top. Now, I’m ready, in comfortable style, for any number of holiday events.

Do you know where the name Black Watch plaid comes from? It is named for the Black Watch, a regiment formed in 1725 to guard the Scottish Highlands (in kilts). Now you’ll be ready with an outfit – and some interesting trivia to discuss about it.

There are some amazing pieces in the latest J. Crew roll-out. This velvet blazer in pink is no exception. It comes in a beautiful pewter as well. Just when I think I have all the plaid shoes I need, I must have (at least) one more. I featured the Sadie Ankle-Straps in Tartan in It’s time for Plaid! a couple of weeks ago. They sold out right away, as predicted, but have been restocked! I have worn them non-stop since they arrived last week and I have lost count of the compliments I’ve received. They are so comfortable and I love the mix with the Black Watch club collar shirt and the pink blazer. Don’t delay, they are likely to sell out.
