A love a good mix of classic preppy with a softer bohemian edge. My new favorite Legend of Lido clutch has the perfect pop of pink with my pink gingham shirt. I had to have the “Maine” destination art t-shirt from J. Crew in my favorite navy. I can almost taste a lobster roll after a long day in the water.
I styled it with a new gingham blazer, boyfriend jeans with paint splatter, a striped clutch and striped shoes. I know the tee, blazer and jeans will be on repeat all summer. The jeans are limited edition and are available on line and in just two stores. The blazer is lightweight and perfect for Spring and Summer.

About a month ago I wrote about my Grandmother B in this post. June is her birthday month (and mine), so I have been thinking about her a lot. I decided to style the J. I love dresses for summer. They are so easy, one step and you are dressed and yet you also feel more dressed up. There is nothing better to beat the heat. I have this J. Crew dress in navy from last year and also coral from this year. I was so excited to see it in Gingham. The shoes are super comfortable and are on sale.

I recently had lunch with a friend on the last day of her maternity leave. We headed to Gjelina in Venice Beach. Of course, I still brought my preppy Gingham vibe to the scene. The menu at Gjelina is so amazing, you really can’t go wrong. We had several raw fish dishes that were out of this world and even splurged on a cobbler for dessert. It is the perfect menu to share several dishes. We arrived early and by the time we left it was very busy. It is definitely a later lunch crowd. It was fun to walk around Venice and shop after.
