I have had London on my mind since I got this t-shirt. We may even skip a tropical Spring Break this year and head to London. My first trip abroad was to London in High School. The dollar and the pound were close to even, the weather was warm for February and it was a great trip. My six year old is very excited about the prospect, so we will see…
In the meantime, the J. Crew destination art t-shirts are fun to style and the London version is no exception. I have previously styled the New York version in New York State of Mind and New York on the Vineyard, as well as the Paris version in I’ll take Paris and the Vineyard and Cheers to the long weekend!.
I made this one festive with my plaid shoes from last year and a plaid pouch from this year.

J. Crew Shoes (last year) these and these would look great

A pop of tulle is so fun! I love the sleeves on this tulle cuffed stripe t-shirt. They give it a little dressy holiday elegance. I styled the top with my J. Crew black watch pants from last year (this year’s Maddie plaid pants look even better and they have a bit of stretch), my glitter heels, blue velvet clutch, Ryan Sunglasses, and a Lulu Frost for J. Crew necklace (my first ever J. Crew necklace purchase from a few years ago!).

J. Crew Tulle cuffed stripe T-shirt
J. Crew Black Watch Pants (last year) this year’s Maddie version
J. Crew Velvet Clutch (back in stock!)
J. Crew Lulu Frost Necklace (older style) this necklace or this necklace would also look great.

I also love this striped top with tulle from the J. Crew for NET-A-PORTER capsule collection. It is 30% off!

Dear Santa,
I want all of the plaid and all of the leopard print, please. Is that too much to ask? They look so great together.

It is no secret that I am mad for plaid. My first nail art was a plaid nail like this one with red nails a year ago. I have been hooked on nail art every since. My love of plaid is shown in It’s time for Plaid! , Plaid and Leopard, Pink and Plaid, Black Watch, Stripes, Sequins and Lace, Matchy Matchy , Beam Me Up , and Plaid Tidings. In case you clicked on any of the items (like the amazing plaid shoes) and received a a sold out notification, several items come back in stock a few times. It is worth a second try.

Now that the holiday season is in full swing, I broke out more plaid. Last night it was finally time for my six year old to open the first box on his Hot Wheels Advent Calendar. He is all about cars and when we saw this 1948 Ford Super Deluxe 8 at the amazing Cardiff Classics, we knew it was a perfect match with my ruffled plaid top.
I styled the top with my favorite plaid flats that I featured in It’s time for Plaid! (along with a scalloped heel version) my black toothpick jeans, velvet clutch and Ryan sunglasses all by J. Crew.

J. Crew Velvet Clutch also available in satin
J. Crew Ryan Sunglasses in Blush
J. Crew Shoes (not many left, but I do keep seeing them pop back, so don’t give up)

This stunning mural “Catnap” by Michael Summers is the perfect backdrop for my new J. Crew Zebra top. Summers says the design was inspired by the quote from American theologian Reinhold Neibuhr, “Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you may become.”
I styled the top with my favorite lace pants, pink sunglasses, velvet clutch and glitter pumps, all from J. Crew. The shoes and top were previously sold out. As of press time, both are available in several sizes. Grab them while you can…

J. Crew Velvet Clutch also available in Satin

I recently attended a Book Party for life coach Kathy Kelada’s new book “Be the Shoe”
Kelada has made breakthroughs with clients through shoe metaphors and was inspired to write the book as a result. It’s a beautiful book and a unique approach to self-help. I for one am ready for some “Closet Therapy”.
“Be the Shoe” makes a perfect gift for all the women in your life. The hand painted water colors of various shoes are stunning. As I wrote in Shoes Tell the Story, I have always said that shoes tell the story of your life. This book illustrates that in ways that will surprise you.
You can purchase it here.

When I was getting dressed for the party I was focused on the shoes given the title and chose my favorite J. Crew navy sequined flats. Little did I know my blazer would coordinate so well with the book.
J. Crew Blazer (this was previously sold out, but as of press time a few sizes are available!)
J. Crew Velvet Clutch it also comes in Satin in black or pink
J. Crew Flats (older style) but these navy suede heels or these navy and pink colorblock heels would look great

Yes, I know it is another blue and white striped shirt. But the embroidered lips were just irresistible. I styled it with my favorite faux fur stole from the J. Crew for Net-a-Porter capsule collection, J. Crew Maddie pants in navy, Jane Sunglasses in pink and sparkly heels. I am ready for the mistletoe with this look.

J. Crew Striped Embroidered Tee
J. Crew for NET-A-PORTER Faux Fur Stole
J. Crew Jane Sunglasses in Pink
J. Crew Shoes (back in stock!) or these glitter flats, these glitter boots and these color block heels would all look great.
