Mani Monday – Mad for Plaid Edition
It is no secret that I am mad for plaid. My first nail art was a plaid nail like this one with red nails a year ago. I have been hooked on nail art every since. Mani Monday -Gray Geometric Edition
This week I am easing into fall even if we do have off and on heat waves with gray I added a pop of pink and black and a little geometry. Geometry was my favorite subject in High School. There is something soothing about these triangles.

This year for our family Halloween costume we are going as doughnuts. My son and I saw the costumes over a month ago and were both very excited. I am so happy that he is still into the idea of a family costume.

Mani Friday – #SHINYPONIES Edition
It is clear that I love shoes. If you have been following my blog for awhile, you know that these striped shoes got a workout this summer and served as a perfect neutral. They were also the shoes I was wearing when my six year old snapped a photo that ended up on J. Crew‘s #SHINYPONIES page as I mentioned in Shoes Tell the Story this week. So I decided to commemorate my proud Mama moment with yet another shoe, this time on my hand.

Mani Friday – Believe in Pink Edition
This was a week of small miracles, kindnesses and a few challenges. Audrey Hepburn and my pink manicure with a couple of hearts got me through. Until last December, I only wore pale pink and very natural looking nails. I decided to get a red manicure for the holidays and had one nail done in plaid to match my shirt. From then on, I was hooked on nail art and have had a weekly creation ever since. This week I wanted to go back to the basics with a little art.
The color is a combination of “Mayfair Lane” by Nails Inc and “Strawberry Smoothie” by CND Vinylux. The manicure and nail art are by Olive & June.

Mani Friday – Blue Camo Edition
My six year old loves camouflage, especially shorts and pants and not just the typical green, but blues as well. He has worn various versions of the pants and shorts for about two years. He likes to do his own pattern mixing with stripes and other colors. Every week he makes suggestions for my nail art that usually revolve around cars. It is rare that he is that happy with my choice. He really liked this week’s blue camo nail art. He also asked me if I was trying to have my nails blend in with my clothes. I will say the camo is forgiving with the dreaded and inevitable chip.
The main color is my favorite “Creekside” by Vinylux combined with “Indigo Frock” and “Water Park” also by Vinylux. The nail art and manicure are by Olive & June.
